It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

I've got a cracking update for you today, especially if you think you might sew some last-minute Christmas gifts, but don't know what yet. We have a very cosy collection of faux fur accessories to share, as well as Merchant & Mills' latest gift-making collection. It includes a FREE pattern that you won't want to miss!

The Maker's Atelier Faux Fur Accessories

This pattern is designed especially for faux fur and includes five accessories: a gilet, bag, hat, collar, and headband. These versatile accessories are fun to make, stylish to wear, and make fabulous gifts. I love that you get so many options in one pattern, so you can make something slightly different for friends and family (if you are so inclined, of course!). But don't forget to make a set for yourself!

Paradise Patterns Rose Raglan Button Up

This menswear-inspired shirt has a lot of thoughtful details, that make it stand out from the crowd. It has raglan sleeves, and instead of a classic back yoke, the yoke is part of the sleeve. You have options for a classic two-piece collar or a convertible one-piece collar, a curved hem or banded straight hem, and pleated sleeves or wide sleeves. Instead of a traditional sleeve placket, the slit sits in the sleeve seam. The flat felled seams mean you will see topstitching, so you can choose matching or contrasting thread. 

Sew.lala Tilly Pants

Tilly is a comfortable wide leg trouser with an elasticated waistband. The pattern is suitable for both knits and wovens, and you can make trousers for the office, weekend days out, or lounging at home, depending on your fabric choice. Three lengths are included, and you'll find a few other details you can choose from to make your perfect pants!
