Paradise Patterns Rose Raglan Button Up

Buy the Rose Raglan Button Up sewing pattern from Paradise Patterns. The Rose Raglan Button Up is a fun take on an oversized men's shirt. It has raglan sleeves, and instead of a classic back yoke, the yoke is part of the sleeve. You have options for a classic two-piece collar or convertible one-piece collar, curved hem or banded straight hem, and pleated sleeves or wide sleeves. You can mix and match between the different views as you like. Instead of a traditional sleeve placket, the slit sits in the sleeve seam. The flat felled seams mean you will see topstitching, so you can choose matching or contrasting thread.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern is made for woven fabrics. The look and feel of the shirt will change a lot depending on the fabric you choose. Something light like cotton lawn or seersucker will make the perfect beach cover-up or pyjama top. Something mid-weight like linen, chambray, or cotton poplin will make a gorgeous everyday shirt. Flannel would make it a cosy overshirt, and you could even make it in denim or canvas for more of a jacket feel.

Fabric requirements: It is wise to buy 0.25 yd/m more than listed in case the fabric shrinks in the pre-wash. If you are using striped fabric, you may want to buy extra so the CB seam on the yoke can be pattern-matched.

View A: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 1.9 - 3.1 yd (1.8 - 2.8 m) // 58" (147 cm) wide fabric: 1.4 - 2.3 yd (1.3 - 2.1 m).

View B: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 1.8 - 3.1 yd (1.6 - 2.8 m) // 58" (147 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 - 2.2 yd (1.4 - 2 m).
