Happy Mother's Day to anyone celebrating. I hope you get five minutes peace to catch up with me and the latest sewing pattern releases. I'll be taking you through newness from Notches, Fibre Mood and Coralie Bijasson, sharing a trouser design that's perfect for chilling out at the weekend, a shirt pattern you can sew, in whole or in part, by hand and a cool asymmetrical dress to pair with trousers. Prepare to want to get busy on the machine!

Sew Liberated Slow Shirt
The Slow Shirt has an option to hand-sew all or part of the garment. And whether you sew your shirt by hand or machine, the steps can be easily divided up into manageable pieces, so after a few evenings, you will have a beautiful shirt, the memories of making it stitched into each seam. The fit is exaggerated and lusciously oversized, with dropped shoulders, back pleats, and a yoke.
Matchy Matchy Weekend Chore Pants
Inspired by the bestselling Weekend Chore Shorts, these utility-inspired pants feature a high-rise elastic waist and oversized pockets. The fit is designed to be relaxed and easy, with plenty of room for movement. This beginner-friendly pattern works beautifully in a single fabric or as a patchwork project. Comfortable, versatile, and endlessly wearable, the Weekend Chore Pants are a fun addition to any handmade wardrobe.

Notches Jenna Jacket
The Jenna Jacket is the result of a collaboration between Notches and the Belgian fashion designer Jordy Arthur. Jenna offers a world of possibilities: cropped or longer length, a collar or collarless neckline, cuffed sleeves with a placket or simple three-quarter sleeves, and practical pockets hidden along the front yoke seam. Topstitching can be subtle or bold, depending on your fabric choice and mood. A matching men's version is available here.
Notches Filippa Bag
Filippa is more than just a handy belt bag – it’s a full-fledged part of your outfit. Wear it around the waistband of trousers or a skirt, ideally as a matching set in the same fabric, or layer it over a dress for a bold accent. It’s perfect for garments without pockets, when you still want your essentials within easy reach.

Puff and Pencil Slash Dress & Cap Sleeve
The Slash Dress is a fitted dress designed to be worn over pants, with an asymmetric skirt that starts at the hip. It features a high neckline and darts at the bust and back. At the back, the dress closes with an invisible zipper that runs from the neckline to the hip. The dress can be made with or without cap sleeves.

Coralie Bijasson Nora Coat
Nora is a stylish coat with a subtle A-line shape, raglan sleeves, and a practical hood. Sew it in wool for cold weather, or in coated canvas for a lighter mid-season variation. Its clean and contemporary cut makes it a wardrobe essential.
Coralie Bijasson Anggun Dress
Anggun reimagines the classic shirt dress with a touch of modernity. Designed to combine comfort and style, it stands out with its neat collar and collar stand, popover placket, shoulder yoke, and inverted pleats at the front and back. Its slightly flared cut and curved hemline add a relaxed charm. With or without sleeves, Anggun adapts to every season.

Fibre Mood Astrid Jacket
Oversized and bold, yet feminine, Astrid ticks all the boxes. A playful balloon hem and dropped shoulders give this jacket a contemporary silhouette. The front zip is neatly concealed, and the zip pockets are both practical and stylish. Astrid is fully lined and scores extra points with a collar that fits beautifully and cuffs at the sleeve hems. A jacket that effortlessly transitions between casual cool and city chic.
Fibre Mood Caren Blouse
Caren plays it smart: soft and romantic, yet sleek and modern. Romantic, thanks to the gathers all around. Sleek, thanks to the pointed collar with a collar band, and the yoke, which ensures a nice fit around the shoulders. The concealed button closure at the centre front gives Caren a clean look, and then there's that little slit in the sleeve for a bit more oomph.
I hope that's left you brimming with inspiration! Enjoy browsing the newest sewing pattern releases.
