THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 16 AUGUST

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Sometimes our reason for adding new products is purely selfish. And this is one of those moments. After a team Zoom meeting where the new Matchy Matchy clementine tape measure was at the top of the agenda, we surmised that we all wanted one. And we didn't just stop the gushing there... we headed straight to view the Matchy Matchy labels, and that sealed the deal. We need these in the Fold Line shop. Enjoy this adorable update!

Matchy Matchy Clementine Measuring Tape

This retractable soft measuring tape measures up to 60" (150 cm). It features inches on one side of the tape and centimetres on the other. The leather outer casing is embossed with the Matchy Matchy Sewing Club logo. Ideal for sewing, quilting, alterations, and crafting.

Matchy Matchy Labels

Matchy Matchy's woven labels are the perfect finishing touch for handmade pieces of all kinds. Designed in-house and made from soft yet durable woven polyester, they're easy to sew onto garments, bags or quilts. Whether tucked away as a personal detail or used as a visible accent, these labels add charm and personality to every make.

Tessuti Fabrics Zoey Slipover

The Zoey Slipover is a boxy vest designed to add colour and texture to a relaxed, cool-weather outfit. As the seams are overlapped and the edges and hems are left raw, it is best made up in fabrics that do not fray, such as boiled wool, felted wool, or wool blends. This perfect piece is quick to sew and easy to pull on for an extra layer that's both warm and stylish.

The Avid Seamstress Tie Blouse

The Tie Blouse is an elegant waist-length top featuring a V-neckline with a button placket, front ties, softly dropped shoulders, wide statement sleeves, and a delicate ribbon tie at the back.

JULIANA MARTEJEVS Carly Balloon Pants

Sew yourself a pair of on-trend balloon pants that are comfortable to wear and easy to style. The wide cut gives the pants a soft, flowing shape, while elasticated hems create the signature balloon effect.

Kylie & the Machine Mini Fabric ID Tape

Mini Fabric ID Tape is here for all your stash organising needs! You'll never wonder 'Have I already prewashed this?' or 'What fibre is this fabric?' ever again. This smooth adhesive tape is suitable for all fabric materials, and each roll has approximately 240 fill-in labels.

Quiltfolk Issue 39 (Washington, D.C.)

Whether you’re looking for traditional, modern, antique or art quilts, this beautiful magazine has it all. Quiltfolk travels across America, state by state, with a team of writers and photojournalists to uncover spectacular stories. This issue features Washington, D.C.

Beneath the grand buildings and marble monuments, the city hums with everyday life, from Georgetown’s cobblestones to Capitol Hill's rowhouses. It is within this layered, storied landscape that Washington, D.C. quilters gather to cut, piece and stitch meaning into material.

I hope you enjoyed that edit of new arrivals. I'll see you next week for another update.
