Buy the Carly Balloon Pants sewing pattern from JULIANA MARTEJEVS. Sew yourself a pair of on-trend balloon pants that are comfortable to wear and easy to style. The wide cut gives the pants a soft, flowing shape, while elasticated hems create the signature balloon effect. The pants have an elasticated waistband with two rows of topstitching and a drawstring tie at the front. Side seam pockets add a practical detail.

Suggested fabrics: Cotton poplin, viscose, tencel, linen or other lightweight woven fabrics. The sample was made in 100% cotton poplin with a weight of 120 gsm.

Fabric requirements: 1.45 m (57") wide fabric: XS-XL, 2.3 m (2 5/8 yd) // XXL-XXXL, 2.65 m (3 yd).

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6/8 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: 2.5 cm (1") wide elastic, length equal to your waist measurement; 1.5 cm (5/8") wide elastic, length equal to twice your ankle measurement; small piece of fusible interfacing for the buttonholes and pocket openings.
