It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

We are getting ready to close out August, but before we do, let's take a look at some late summer arrivals. First up, Kate will be flicking through the latest edition of Fibre Mood magazine. We then have three patterns featuring trending drawstrings and ties, a mini version of a community favourite, and a matching set for anyone jetting off for some late summer sun!

The latest edition has 12 patterns and style variations for elegant, trendy and comfortable items for autumn! Patterns are included for dresses, tops, trousers, jackets, a skirt and bag.

Modern Sewing Co. Isabel Dress

The Isabel Dress is an elegant dress full of charm and relaxed poise. This elevated pattern works beautifully for stylish summer wear as well as for special occasions. A gathered panel with adjustable ties sits at the low waist, defining the silhouette.

Modern Sewing Co. Paloma Top

The Paloma Top is a fun and stylish design that's brimming with personality. With adjustable features and a breezy fit, it's perfect for feeling put together on a warm summer's day. Channels with tie fastenings create a gathered effect at the shoulders and below the bust.

Les Perlines Mesa Top

The Mesa Top is a relaxed sleeveless top with an adjustable side drawstring that creates soft gathers and an asymmetrical silhouette. The pattern features a high front and back neckline, with straps designed to conceal bra straps. Simple and quick to sew, Mesa requires very little fabric and makes a perfect beginner project.

Anna Allen Children's Pomona Pants and Shorts

This much-loved pattern now has a mini version! These elastic waist, higher rise pants and shorts feature no side seams and include patch pockets on the front or back. Designed for ages 1 – 16 years, the Pomona pattern comes with three options to sew.

Primrose Dawn Chiara Bralette

The Chiara Bralette offers comfort and support with multiple closure options. The three-piece lined cups can be made all or in part with stretch lace. The band extends around to the front, offering extra support. Perfect for those with reduced shoulder mobility, there are front opening options, as well as multiple back opening styles. The Avenue Shorts feature a moderately high rise, an elastic waistband, and a subtle A-line silhouette that flares slightly through the legs for an easy, breezy fit with a touch of volume. Mix and match details to create one of 24 possible versions, and find your perfect "avenue".

Style Arc Cendrine Woven Blouse Set
