Vikisews Chiara Top

Buy the Chiara Top sewing pattern from Vikisews. Chiara is a tight-fitting corset top with separate bust cups. The front and back feature rigilene boning inserted into applied channels. The top closes with a separating zipper in the centre back seam. The long sleeves are gathered at the cap and shirred with elastic thread above and below the elbow. Chiara is waist-length.

Suggested fabrics: Textured cotton, cotton shirting, linen, lightweight denim.

For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibres (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).

The tops in the photos are made of textured cotton. The fabric is lightweight, soft, and has a little stretch due to the texture. The fibre content is 100% cotton. The lining is a blend of cotton and elastane.

Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.

Main: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 1.25 - 1.85 m (1 3/8 - 2 yd).

Lining: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 0.45 - 0.5 m (1/2 yd).

Sizing: 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
