Buy the Studio Shirt and Dress sewing pattern from The Avid Seamstress. The Studio Shirt and Dress is a relaxed and versatile pattern with two easy to wear options. Make the dress with practical side pockets and wear it loose or cinched with the tie belt, or choose the shirt version for an everyday wardrobe staple. Both feature a statement collar, dropped shoulders, and three-quarter sleeves with cuffs. The dress has the choice of a curved or straight hem.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces are divided across two A0 sheets. The sheets will need to be joined with no overlap.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton, cotton needlecord, poplin, lawn, shirting, viscose and bamboo.

Fabric requirements: 

112 cm wide fabric: Shirt, 3.25 m // Dress with belt, 4 - 5 m // Dress without belt, 3.75 - 4.5 m.

145 cm wide fabric: Shirt, 2.6 m // Dress with or without belt, 3.55 - 3.75 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 26 (approx. UK 6/8 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Lightweight iron-on interfacing, 1.2 m for shirt or 2 m for dress; 12 mm buttons, 7 for shirt or 10 for dress.
