Suggested fabrics:

Main: Use a medium weight knit fabric with 50% horizontal and vertical stretch, with elastane (spandex) to provide good recovery, such as cotton lycra, light to medium weight French terry, cotton/polyester-spandex sweatshirt knit, or rayon/viscose-spandex French terry.

Lining: Use a very lightweight to lightweight knit or woven fabric, with or without elastane, such as cotton lycra or voile. The lining fabric is used for the hood and pocket linings.

Fabric requirements:

Long sleeves: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 7/8 - 2 7/8 yd (170 - 270 cm).

Short sleeves: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 5/8 - 2 5/8 yd (150 - 250 cm).

Lining: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 5/8 - 3/4 yd (50 - 70 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 with regular and full bust options (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust options: To determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full bust front pieces, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3" (7.5 cm) or less, use the regular bust. If the rounded difference is more than 3" (7.5 cm), use the full bust.

Notions: A strip of lightweight woven fabric cut on the bias, 10" × 1 1/8" (25 × 2.9 cm) OR 10" (25 cm) of purchased single-fold bias tape, 1" (2.5 cm) wide; 47" (120 cm) drawstring cord or ribbon, 1/4" (6 mm) in diameter or 3/8" (1 cm) wide; two 1" × 1" (2.5 × 2.5 cm) squares of lightweight fusible tricot knit interfacing; 37" (93 cm) of 1/2" (1.25 cm) wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain) // Optional: two grommets with an inner diameter of 3/8" (1 cm); two cord ends for your drawstring.
