What we think: We love the simplicity of this coat. It would be a great one to make if you've not made a coat before. The relaxed shape will make it easier to fit, and the tie closing is a simple finish.

Lovely design, good pattern

I struggled with the collar a bit in this pattern, but it’s a really well done pattern with good illustrations.

I think material selection is key here, as I chose a less stable wool fabric with a bit of stretch and I think I’d choose something different for the next one.

An overlooked coat pattern!

I was shocked that there wasn’t any reviews and very little pictures of this make by other sewers on social media! It’s such a versatile pattern and has so many possible variations. I made mine using a heavy navy wool fabric and a silky lining. I loovvvveeeee it!

I didn’t add the patch pockets and used a tie method for the belt rather than a D ring. The sizing was very accurate in the pattern measurement and therefore didn’t make any alternations when it came to the fitting. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but naturally not suitable for an absolute beginner!

Here I am looking dead chuffed with the final make, and bringing some colour with accessories ?
