Buy the Elda Coat sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. This coat makes a statement with its striking oversized collar and graphic lines. The side seams run diagonally towards the front, creating an interplay of lines with the angled front panels. A high centre back split also runs diagonally towards the side seams. There are pockets in the side seams, and the sleeves have zipped pockets, an unexpected detail that gives the design an extra edge.

Suggested fabrics: This coat calls for a fabric with sufficient body to showcase the oversized silhouette and distinctive lines, such as wool or a wool blend, sturdy gabardine, jacquard or a technical coat fabric. (Faux) leather also suits the distinctive character of the design. Avoid a thin or sheer fabric: a little extra sturdiness will help the large collar and diagonal seams stand out.

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 140 cm wide fabric: 309 - 392 cm.

Lining: 140 cm wide fabric: 205 - 290 cm.

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing, max. 220 cm; two 15 cm closed-end zips; 1 cm wide ribbon, 200 cm (optional, a pattern piece is also provided); one 1.5 cm button.
