Suggested fabrics: For a lightweight trench-style jacket, try cotton twill or gabardine. For a warmer peacoat-style jacket, use wool or wool-type coating (not too thick).

Fabric requirements: 

140 cm (56") wide fabric: Without storm flap + shield, 2.6 - 3 m (2 7/8 - 3 1/4 yd) // With storm flap + shield, 3.3 - 4.1 m (3 5/8 - 4 1/2 yd).

115 cm (45") wide fabric: Without storm flap + shield, 3 - 4 m (3 1/4 - 4 1/4 yd) // With storm flap + shield, 3.5 - 5.3 m (3 7/8 - 5 7/8 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 34. Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing, 90 cm (1 yd) wide, 1.3 m (1 1/2 yd) for sizes 1-6 or 1.4 m (1 5/8 yd) for sizes 7-15; 20-25 mm (3/4-1") wide buttons, 11 for version with epaulettes + sleeve straps or 7 without // For optional welt pockets: 0.3 m (3/8 yd) cotton lawn or lining fabric.
