The Stevie Dress and Top can be made in a day and there are no zips or buttons. Customise it by adding fringing instead of a frill to mirror Stevie’s fringed shawls. Or make it in a seductive black lace, as Stevie often wore in true music icon fashion. Let’s see how you can rock this pattern!

Suggested fabrics: This pattern works well throughout the seasons in silk velvets, dobby, lace, viscose, lawn, crepe – just about anything drapey. The samples were made in an embroidered tulle, an upcycled crocheted tablecloth, a hand-blocked Indian print and a fine cotton dobby.

Fabric requirements: Note suggested amounts are all worked out for the largest size.

110 cm wide fabric: Top with frilled sleeve, 3 m // Dress with frilled sleeve, 4 m // Dress with frilled sleeve and skirt frill, 5 m // Top with long sleeve, 3 m // Dress with long sleeve, 3.5 m // Dress with long sleeve and skirt frill, 4.5 m.

137 cm wide fabric: Top with frilled or long sleeve, 2.5 m // Dress with frilled or long sleeve, 3 m // Dress with frilled or long sleeve and skirt frill, 4 m.

Notions: Thread; 40 cm of fusible interfacing (60 cm wide); 0.5 m of 1 cm or 1/4″ elastic (for elasticated cuff option only).
