True Bias Merritt Shirt and Dress

Buy the Merritt Shirt and Dress sewing pattern from True Bias. Merritt is an oversized button-up shirt and dress with four views. All views have a button front opening, dropped shoulder, traditional collar and collar stand, and patch chest pocket. Views A and C have a boxy short sleeve, while Views B and D have a long sleeve with a sleeve placket and cuff. Views A and B are shirt length, while Views C and D hit a few inches above the ankle and have in-seam pockets.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces are divided across two A0 sheets. The sheets will need to be joined with no overlap.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as shirting fabrics, cotton, linen, corduroy, and chambray.

Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32 (approx. UK 6/8 – 18/20 or UK 16 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. The 14-32 block has a slightly more curvy set of dimensions than the 0-18 block. The 14-32 block has a D instead of a C cup (meaning a 4" rather than a 3" difference between your full and high bust) and has a 1" larger difference between the waist and hip circumference. Both size ranges are drafted for an average height of 5'5".
