Buy the Leora Dress sewing pattern from Vikisews. Leora is a close-fitting dress with a sheath silhouette. The front is made up of two separate parts, the front bodice and the front skirt. The centre front bodice seam is finished with two channels. The tie pulled through the channels creates gathers at the bust. The top edge of the front skirt is curved. The dress features long set-in fitted sleeves and a deep V-neckline. Leora is below-the-knee length.

Suggested fabrics: Sweater knit, ponte di roma, knit fabrics, double-knit fabrics, rib knit fabrics. The fibre content should include elastane.

The dress in the photos is made of a double-knit fabric. The fabric is medium weight, malleable and stretchy. The fibre content is a blend of wool, viscose and elastane.

Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.

Main: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 1.7 – 2.33 m (1 3/4 – 2 1/2 yd) // 160 cm (63″) wide fabric: 1.24 – 2 m (1 1/4 – 2 1/4 yd).

Sizing: 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Vikisews patterns are designed for a B/C cup.

The PDF pattern includes 4 height options:

Height 1 = 154 – 160 cm (5’1″ – 5’3″)
Height 2 = 162 – 168 cm (5’4″ – 5’6″)
Height 3 = 170 – 176 cm (5’7″ – 5’9″)
Height 4 = 178 – 184 cm (5’10” – 6′1″)

Model Anya: Height 169 cm (5’6″) / Bust 84 cm (33 1/8″) / Waist 64 cm (25 1/4″) / Hips 91 cm (36″). Anya is wearing size 36 in height 2.

Notions: 

– Lightweight fusible knit interfacing, 140 cm (55”) wide, 10 cm (4”). Fusible straight grained seam tape is an alternative, 30 cm (12”).
– Knit bias tape, 1.5 cm (5/8″) wide, 1.5 – 2 m (59″ – 79″). Can be replaced with 1 cm (3/8″) wide silicone tape.
– Matching thread
