Buy the Cosmo Dress sewing pattern from Our Lady of Leisure. The Cosmo Dress is a playful knit dress with milkmaid style sleeves and a sexy slit in the skirt. It’s a great pattern for bright fabrics, colourblocking or neutrals. This easy-to-wear style is classy enough for cocktail bars and sexy enough for a hot date.

The Cosmo has a flattering gathered bust and a firm-fitting bodycon cut. It has pullover styling, so there are no zippers or buttons to worry about. Fit it to your body and it will give you a “spanx” effect, exaggerating your natural curves. Note: An overlocker (serger) is required to make this dress.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Knit fabrics with a minimum of 5% spandex (lycra). The fabric should have at least 20% stretch. Ideal fabrics include ponte, scuba knit, sateen or thick jersey.

Fabric requirements: 150 cm (60”) wide fabric: 1.8 m (2 yards).

Sizing: A – G (UK 6 – 18). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 1.4 m (1.5 yards) of knitted elastic with a width of 5-7 mm (1/5”-1/4”); medium sized safety pin // An overlocker (serger) threaded up for stretch knits is required for the main seams. A sewing machine with a ballpoint needle for the slit.

PDF pattern includes: Detailed sewing instructions with illustrations; print-at-home pattern suitable for A4 or US letter paper; A0 copy shop file.
