THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 9 FEBRUARY

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

February is getting off to a great start on the sewing front and I have more exciting new releases to share with you this week. We have an exposed zip dress that has been all over the high street, a new pattern drop from your favourite French brand and a collab that had our jaws on the floor when we heard it was happening.

Fabric Godmother Aspen Dress:

We have spotted this style all over the high street, and Fabric Godmother has again created the perfect pattern for sewing your own custom version. Featuring an exposed zip front opening and trendy midi length, you can sew this dress with long or short sleeves (but let's be honest, you'll want one of each!). Aspen looks best in fabrics with some weight and structure, so it's a spring-ready style.

Quiltfolk Issue 33 (New Mexico):

A gorgeous new issue of Quiltfolk has landed, ready to transport you to the diverse landscapes of New Mexico. The state’s breathtaking views, its rich history, and of course its stunning quilts and their talented creators are sure to leave you captivated. It's an interesting read, but even just looking at the pictures is enough to have you inspired!

Kylie & the Machine 'Handmade / Made by Me' Labels:

Give your handmade garments a colourful finishing touch with these joyful labels. You get three of each design in the packet, and both are doubled-sided.

Kylie & the Machine Rachel Burke WEARABLE ART Labels:

Introducing Kylie's most sparkly label collaboration ever! Rachel Burke is a multidisciplinary artist, designer and author based in Brisbane, Australia. If, like me, you've been following Rachel's joyful Instagram account, @imakestagram, you know this is a big deal!

Known for her vibrant, tactile wearable artworks and iconic tinsel creations, her art pieces have been worn by Cate Blanchett, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy, and many more admirers! Her work is inspired by a love for naive craft material and transforming the mundane into the magical.

This dazzling label collaboration will make you want to put those labels on the outside of your garments as they demand centre stage. Each pack contains 19 woven labels and we have a very limited quantity of them, so grab a pack pronto if you want one!

Maison Fauve Nomad Collection:

Nomad is a three-piece pattern collection with an outdoorsy feel, while still being full of Fauve flair. If you are getting withdrawals from the end of the hit BBC series, The Traitors, this is giving those highland vibes. The skirt is very Claudia Winkleman.

Maison Fauve Valentines Collection:

Ready for romance? The most romantic thing you can do for yourself is to sew a luxurious pair of pyjamas and Maison Fauve has given two pattern options to choose from.

The Calypso Jacket is the perfect pattern for showcasing gorgeous collar and is an utterly elegant design.

That's your lot for another week... see you next Sunday!
