THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 11 OCTOBER

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

What can I tell you about this week's Edit? The short version is that it's unbelievably good. The long version? Atelier Jupe has a stunning new blouse you won't want to miss. We have a coat pattern that will build your sewing skills, as well as deliver an ultra-elegant fit. Plus, we have a unisex pyjama set that is asking to be sewn twice to match. And that just scratches the surface... it really is a good week.

Elbe Textiles Janzi Coat

If you fancy sewing your own coat while challenging your sewing skills, this elegant and timeless design will be well worth the effort. The Janzi Coat is a fully lined coat with a collar and lapel. The top of the coat is fitted, with princess seams starting at the shoulder. These panels gently flare out from the waist and end at the calf. The coat has two-piece sleeves and welt pockets.

The Avid Seamstress Studio Shirt and Dress

The Studio Shirt and Dress is a relaxed and versatile pattern with two easy-to-wear options. Make the dress with practical side pockets and wear it loose or cinched with the tie belt, or choose the shirt version for an everyday wardrobe staple. Both feature a statement collar, dropped shoulders, and three-quarter sleeves with cuffs. The dress has the choice of a curved or straight hem.

Atelier Jupe Phoebe Blouse

Love the look of statement collared blouses, but hate it when they flap around when a gust of wind hits you? This design gives you that look, thanks to the optional piping. Phoebe has a striking V-shaped front yoke that extends into a back yoke. The pattern has options for a regular or hidden button placket. The sleeves feature two horizontal pleats and gathering at the cuff.

Itch to Stitch Salas Jacket

Perfect for running errands on chilly mornings, this cosy jacket has a relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, and front patch pockets. Designed for pre-quilted fabrics, Salas is unlined. The pattern includes three neckline options (round, collared, and V-neck), three length options (short, hip, and thigh length), and regular and full bust options for a customised fit.

Wardrobe by Me Women's Rugby Shirt

Rugby shirts seem to be popular in high street shops this season, so this is a great pattern to make. The Women's Rugby Shirt features a shirt collar and stand, three-button placket, and big elbow-length raglan sleeves. The fit is comfortable and relaxed. The pattern works with both woven and jersey fabrics, but the collar and placket must be cut in a lightweight woven fabric.

Wardrobe by Me Unisex Pyjamas

Thinking of sewing matching PJs (maybe even matching Christmas PJs?) for you and your loved one/s? This unisex pattern is designed to fit men and women. The relaxed fit shirt features a convertible collar, dropped shoulders, button front, and chest pocket. The coordinating pants or shorts have an elastic waist and back pocket. Sew a set for yourself, your partner, or your best friend!

I hope that's left you brimming with inspiration! Enjoy browsing the newest sewing pattern releases.
