It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Kylie & The Machine 2024 Advent Calendar: Are you ready to get excited about Christmas? I know, I know, we are in summer but news that the coveted Kylie & the Machine Christmas advent calendar is back, makes it worth thinking ahead.

Pre-order your KATM calendar from the Fold Line in August, and you will get £5 off. What's more, Fold Line loyalty members will earn 250 points with their purchase, giving you £2.50 to spend at a later date.

Quiltfolk Issue 31 (Oklahoma): If you want an inspiring summer read, you can't go wrong with a copy of Quiltfolk magazine. The latest issue travels through Oklahoma. From the powwows of the Cherokee Nation to the rodeos of the Panhandle, Oklahoma's diverse array of cultures and customs is woven into the fabric of everyday life and its quilts.

Helen's Closet Lockhart Jumpsuit:  This new arrival reminds me of a jumpsuit Kate has that I love. This multi-view pattern is a modern jumpsuit, playful romper, cute mini dress, or even a formal evening gown! The princess seams hug the body while waist darts provide shaping. The pockets are anchored so their contents won't be flapping around - a great detail!

Helen's Closet Sunstar Swimsuit: Need a new swimsuit? This faux-wrap style can be made as a one or two-piece set and should be pretty approachable if you've never sewn swimwear before (Helen's instructions are excellent!). The bottoms have trendy high cut sides and have a ‘cheeky’ cut in the back.

The Patterns Room Flora Dress: We don't seem to see halter styles very often in the sewing world, so this is a welcome addition. Flora is a halter dress or top with a relaxed A-line shape. The halter ties around your neck and the low back has an elastic channel to hold it in place. It's ideal for summer holidays.
