Paradise Patterns Honeygirl Dress Expansion

Buy the Honeygirl Dress Expansion sewing pattern from Paradise Patterns. The Honeygirl Dress is an expansion of the Honeygirl Tee. Use these new pattern pieces in combination with the original Honeygirl Tee pattern pieces to make a mini dress or maxi dress with a bell sleeve. 

The Honeygirl Dress is designed for a relaxed fit, with a back seam that follows the natural curve of your body to eliminate excess fabric pooling above your hips. The smallest part of the waist sits slightly higher on the dress than on the tee so the A-line skirt drapes beautifully.

Note: This is not a complete pattern. You must already own the original Honeygirl Tee pattern to use this expansion pack. If you have not yet purchased the original pattern, you can do so here.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: The Honeygirl Dress works best with low recovery knits. The best examples are pointelle knits, cotton double knits, and rib knits with less than 4% spandex content. 

Fabric requirements: 

Mini dress with short sleeve: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 1.2 - 2.3 yd (1.1 - 2.1 m) // 60" (150 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 2 yd (0.9 - 1.8 m).

Maxi dress with bell sleeve: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric (sizes A-K only): 3 - 4 yd (2.7 - 3.7 m) // 60" (150 cm) wide fabric: 2.3 - 3.75 yd (2.1 - 3.4 m).

Sizing: A – P (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

The pattern includes B cup and D cup options. If you have a 2-3" (5-7.5 cm) or less difference between your Upper Bust and Full Bust measurements, use the B cup front (no dart). If you have a difference of 4" (10 cm) or more, use the D cup (darted) front. Please note that a sewing cup size is not the same as your bra cup size.
