THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 14 JULY
Kate Underdown

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Fire up your sewing machines, tighten your trainers, and jump into Issue No. 12, which focuses on the dynamic theme of sport! Pre-order your copy which will ship from the 9th of July.

With patterns for comfortable and supportive tops, a trendy vest, and even a versatile cape that doubles as a bag, you can create your own handmade athleisure wardrobe. There are nine sewing patterns included in the magazine, ready for tracing off in UK sizes 6-32.

Sew Liberated Songbird Skirt and Tank TopIndie designers seem to be serving us sets at the moment and this one is a winner for summer. The Songbird Set is a breezy and easy sew with endless styling possibilities - it's a big yes from me!

Madalynne FREE Rosemary Bra Top, Panty and Skirt: This free 3-in-1 (try saying that fast!) pattern is a lovely introduction to sewing lingerie. The top is giving me Bridgerton vibes, and when styled with the skirt, is ban-on the lingerie as outerwear trend.

Chalk and Notch Ivie Dress, Top and Skirt: Another thing we love is a multi-garment pattern, because why should we have to stop at sewing just one garment? Ivie is a woven dress or two-piece set in a maxi length. It's perfect for capsule dressing.

French Navy Seneca Shirt: Just when you thought you'd seen all the shirt patterns you need to see, this one comes along and boy, is it good. The Seneca Shirt is a fresh take on a classic, featuring a cropped, boxy fit designed to hit between the natural waist and hip bone. It's Kate's pick of the week!

Looking at the French Navy Seneca shirt, I spied the trousers in the picture and loved the top of them. Elastic waist, little darts from the waist and pockets. Looks just like what I want. I checked their patterns on the Fold Line site and none answer to this one, is there a pattern?
Thank you,
Margaret
