It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Fibre Mood edition 29 has landed and is brimming with projects for summer. With patterns for dresses, a smart jumpsuit, trousers and more, you get great value for money.

This issue features 12 patterns to sew for this season and includes dresses, tops, a skirt, a skort, trousers and a jumpsuit. The patterns come on pull-out A1 sheets that are folded and stapled into the magazine. They are overlaid and colour-coded which makes them easier to trace off.

The Modern Sewing Co. Sienna Dress: Are you a sucker for pleats? Well, this pattern has plenty. It consists of five panels which are pleated to the low hip and then spill out to form a voluminous skirt. The Sienna Dress is perfect for every occasion from weddings to days at the beach, depending on your choice of fabric.

Wardrobe by Me Abby Dress: If loose and flowy dresses are your summer uniform, you'll love this new arrival. Abby is a relaxed kaftan style dress with short dolman sleeves, a deep V-neckline and drawstring or elastic at the waist. Frill-lovers can opt for the ruffle shouldered version, while minimalists can choose the simple view.

Selvedge Magazine - Issue 119 Savior Faire: The latest issue of Selvedge is perfectly timed for a lazy summer afternoon indulging in some textile-related input. this issue focuses on savoir faire, the French concept of expertise in textiles. With so much to explore, this latest issue definitely captures a certain je ne sais quoi.
