GET THE LOOK - CLAUDIA WINKLEMAN: THE TRAITORS WARDROBE
There's something in the January air. It's The Traitors fever! The BBC hit TV series is back for a fourth dose of backstabbing, banishments and worst of all - murder! If your evenings are filled with episodes of the faithful trying to figure out who graces the traitor's turret, you have probably become obsessed with something else. What Claudia Winkleman is wearing.
We can't get enough of Claudia's wardrobe, and it seems you can't either. We shared a 'Find That Pattern' last year, as everyone adored Claudia's clothes. A couple of weeks ago, I pulled together a social media post with some Claudia-inspired looks, and the reaction showed me that wasn't enough. You all need more Claudia. So, I have pulled together some ideas for sewing key pieces from Claudia's The Traitors' wardrobe. I hope you like it (and don't banish me!)!

Series 4 sees Claudia's clobber fully leaning into English heritage style. Perfect for countryside strolls or outdoor missions, Claudia's wardrobe is full of tweed, tartan and texture. The brains behind the operation, stylist Sinead McKeefry, is fully leaning into countryside chic, but gives it a darker edge. It is The Traitors after all.
This series is packed with pieces that are oh-so wearable and sewable! I've selected eight items that are faithful to Claudia's style, and each has several sewing pattern ideas to cater to different tastes.

You can't swan around a Scottish castle without owning a kilt. With its punk connotations in modern day, this heritage piece has a rebellious edge.
- If you want to stay faithful to the Scottish kilt, the Folkwear 152 Scottish Kilts and Men's Jacket and Vest is your best bet.
- If skirts aren't your thing, I have a pattern for you! The Ready to Sew Hugo Wrap Pants soft pleats and kilt fastenings embody to look.
- If you are enamoured by the kilt pleats, but don't want to go all in, try the Fibre Mood Fausta Skirt.
- Finally, I have a reimagined option for you. The Puff and Pencil Buckle Skirt modernises the kilt style into a sleek skirt.

Claudia has a bevvy of beautiful blouses and killer shirts in her Traitors' wardrobe. Voluminous sleeves, sharp collars, beautiful bows and shirts that play with proportion.
- Oversized shirts borrowed from your Traitor boyfriend are paired with leggings. Try the Atelier Brunette La Chemise Boyish pattern.
- Claudia sported to-die-for sleeves for The Traitors promo shot. If you want to recreate this beautiful blouse, try the Fibre Mood Carry Blouse.
- The hard outer of smartly cut blazers often reveals something altogether softer underneath. The pussy bow blouse is a recurring theme throughout The Traitors series. Go for the Sew Over It Pussy Bow Blouse and Pussy Bow Blouse Add-on Pack (pictured) to faithfully recreate the look.
- I love Claudia's use of a pie-crust blouse, peeking out from an oversized jumper or blazer to combine the hard and the soft. The Ready to Sew Henriette Blouse is a beautiful pattern that you will get loads of wear out of.

The faithfuls and traitors are put to task with the outdoor missions. Claudia may get to watch rather than partake, but the Scottish weather means that a proper coat is a must. Claudia's coats are quintessentially British. many of them finish at the mid-calf or ankle to keep her warm, and I love the oversized pea jacket she wore on episode one.
- If you want to invest your time in sewing a timeless Claudia-influenced coat, I'd recommend the Modern Sewing Co. Darcy Coat.
- Get pea coat perfection with The Maker's Atelier Pea Coat pattern. Size up if you want to get Claudia's aesthetic.
- Claudia loves a tailoring moment and has worn a number of double-breasted coats. Bella Loves Patterns Traveller Coat is the one for you if this is the Claudia coat you want to recreate.
- Another option for those wanting to faithfully recreate the coat picture is the Atelier Brunette Le Manteau.

Nothing screams 'quintessential countryside' than a knitted vest. You might think you'd need to take up a new craft to make your own, but I have five pattern options that prove you can sew one!
- Go classic with this option, faithful to Claudia's style. The Fibre Mood Thea Jumper will save you hours to sew it vs knitting one!
- If you love the knitted vest idea, but would prefer a hint of a sleeve, try the Itch to Stitch Andorra Top and Vest.
- Another option with a deeper v and more relaxed shape is the JULIANA MARTEJEVS Basic Slipover.
- A clean, and modern knitted vest alternative, the Fibre Mood Mona Top screams 'Claudia' to me.
- If you want to be an utter traitor to the countryside chic knitted vest, I have the rebels option for you. The Fibre Mood Hoda Top features eye-catching ties at the sides and looks ace in a striped knit fabric.

Claudia turns up the style dial when it comes to the round table show downs, favouring tailoring to fit the mood. This series we've seen tweed making an apperance, and the leg silhouette shifting from cigarette to flare.
- Want that waistcoat? Shop for some British tweed fabric and grab the Merchant & Mills Miller Waistcoat pattern and you have a piece that will never go out of style.
- This double-breated beauty is spot on for Claudia's tweed blazer. The Fibre Mood Jorla Blazer has a pronounced shoulder line and soft waistline. Perfect for commanding the round table room.
- Every great suit needs a relaxed shirt to tie the whole look together. What about the Ready to Sew Hans Shirt? It has all the details of a high-end garment but without the complexity that usually comes with making one.
- The power suit is completed with statment tweed flares. This tailored trouser is a departure from the slimer leg shape we usually see Claudia wearing. The Vikisews Carla Trousers would work nicely for a handmade pair.

Perfect for those days you are on a mission, a shacket is a very useful piece. Claudia wears hers in dark checks and moody tartans. It definitely makes me want to sew one!
- Go big or get banished home with this full length shacket. The Fibre Mood Rya Shirt and Coat is what laid back layering is all about.
- If you like sewing for others too, this unisex pattern is a useful purchase. The Helen's Closet Spindrift Jacket is the perfect base for your shacket.
- Determined to make a classic shacket style? Opt for the Bara Studio Thea Shacket.
- Another great pattern for sewing a warming shacket is the Style Arc Logan Shacket. This trendy design works well in cosy boiled wool and flannel fabrics.
- My personal pattern pick is this Claudia-esq boxt number. The Les Perlines Midway Jacket includes cropped jacket or shacket styles, tulip style cuffs and double pockets (to fit almost everything).

Claudia's clothes really play with proportoin. Oversized on top, with sleek bottoms. It's a very easy (and wearble) look to recreate.
- The Wardrobe by Me Unisex Boyfriend Sweater is ideal for getting this oversized look.
- Often sporting a high neck, this screams countryside Claudia. Grab the Fibre Mood Sofia Sweater to mimic her look.
- Claudia's clothes are fashion-forward, so I would totally see her wearing the Named Aalto Sweatshirt in black while overseeing a misson.
- If you are after an oversized jumper with a slight swing shape, try this clever zero waste design. The Birgitta Helmersson ZW Jumper pattern is mostly drawn directly onto the fabric, using minimal pattern pieces and leaving almost no waste.
- Claudia loves oversized, slouchy jumpers, but they always have a refined edge. If you too love this look, try The Maker's Atelier Big Easy Top.

You can't appreciate Claudia's traitors wardrobe without doting on the hero piece. The cape. Chic, sultry, and down-right chilling, Claudia has made capes have a moment.
- This cool cape has a nod to the 60s with its circle swing shape. The I AM Patterns Harry Cape is a wonderful option if you want to make your own.
- If drama is your middle name, why not sew a cape that would intimidate the most poised traitor? The Trend Patterns TPC3 Cape is definitely something Claudia would rock.
- Claudia has worn some scupltural pieces, so this is a cape I could imagine her wearing. The TAUKO Hug Cape is what every fashionista needs to keep warm.
You can catch The Traitors, series 4 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer @ 8 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
