Buy the Aalto Sweatshirt sewing pattern from Named. The Aalto Sweatshirt is the perfect everyday piece, defined by its distinctive details. Its loose, relaxed shape is created by a beautiful wavy front seam, slightly forward-curving side seams, rounded back sleeve seams, and a softly curved hem. You can highlight the shape by topstitching the seams.

Suggested fabrics: Choose a medium weight knit fabric with 30-50% stretch. Sweatshirt jersey, terry or even light neoprene are all good options. For the neckline, cuffs and hem, pick a rigid knit that has good recovery and 30-50% stretch. A firm rib knit is ideal.

Fabric requirements: The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.

150 cm (60") wide fabric: 120 - 160 cm (1 1/4 - 1 3/4 yd).

115 cm (45") wide fabric: 160 - 235 cm (1 3/4 - 2 5/8 yd).

Sizing: EU 32 – 56 (approx. UK 6 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a 172 cm (5'8") tall person.

Notions: Ribbing, 55 cm (5/8 yd); 5-7 mm (1/4") stay tape, 55 cm (21 5/8").
