Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

Fibre Mood edition 24 has arrived and this bumper issue promises to deliver some easy-breezy items for your summer holiday wardrobe. We are very happy to see there are THREE bag patterns in the mag, including a very on-trend bum bag and handy phone bag.

This bumper special edition features a whopping 19 new patterns for dresses, tops, shorts, a swimsuit and baseball cap for women; dresses, tops, shorts and a jumpsuit for children; and three useful bags.

The patterns come on pull-out A1 sheets that are folded and stapled into the magazine. They are overlaid and colour coded which makes them easier to trace off.
Sizes: Women’s UK 6-28/30 £18.00

Loose and flowy dresses are just the ticket for any holiday in the sun. These patterns are full of pretty details and lots of gathering!

We are loving bag patterns at the moment and these three styles are fab. You can also take on the challenge of sewing your own cap – maybe to match your summer dress?

Complete your holiday capsule with these classic shorts and a swimsuit for that poolside lounging!

This bumper issue also has a bunch of cool patterns for kids – all made with summer adventures in mind.

We are excited to share Fabric Godmother’s first pattern release… the rather pretty Peony Dress. Perfect as a special occasion dress or styled casually for daytime, Peony is a dress you will reach for again and again. The pattern also includes a fantastic couture technique to add shoulder puffs to your dress.

If you fancy a rather beautiful and inspiring magazine to read all about textiles, the latest issue of Selvedge Magazine has touched down and it is stunning. Issue 113 Raw: of Selvedge magazine looks at ancient fabrics and how plain woven structures constructed from undyed yarn are used to create textured surfaces – materials that demonstrate our connection to the earth, reject the digital age and acknowledge a simpler life.

Combine beauty and comfort with the Annika Wireless Bra which has been designed with a mastectomy pocket and flat cup options for those who have had a breast removed. Annika is a supportive, full-coverage bra designed for low-stretch fabrics. With multiple style options for cups, bridges, and bands, you can mix and match a new bra wardrobe.

If you’re escaping to the beach this summer and want an easy-win sewing project, the You Made My Day Beach Top and Dress is a great choice! A simple pattern for a summer top or dress, the straps are threaded through casings at the front and back necklines and tied at the shoulders for a romantic touch and the armholes are finished with neat facings.
