THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 7 JUNE

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

June is off to a strong start with a flurry of fabulous new sewing patterns hitting the virtual shelves. This week, we've got a trendy skirt with delightful curved yoke detail, a pretty dress with bust cup sizes for a great fit, a bombshell dress fit for Marilyn herself, and plenty more!

Tammy Handmade Daisy Dress

The Daisy Dress is an effortless woven dress you'll reach for again and again. It features a lined princess seam bodice with an elasticated or shirred back for a comfortable and flexible fit. Choose between straps or soft puff sleeves, with two skirt lengths. The pattern includes cup sizes AA–E+ for an easy fit.

Sew DIY Bucket Tote

The Bucket Tote is the perfect "throw and go" bag with a wide top opening so you can easily see and access everything inside. This fully lined tote is thoughtfully designed with an oval base, pleats at each end, and exterior and interior pockets. The pattern includes both regular and small sizes, giving you options for wherever life takes you.

BF Patterns Sabrina Skirt

Sabrina is a beginner-friendly gathered skirt with thoughtful details and a soft, romantic feel. Designed to sit at your natural waist with a midi length that falls just above the ankles, it features an elastic waistband, gently curved yoke, and practical in-seam pockets. The drawstrings that tie at the side seams offer a charming finish.

Sew Over It Rosemary Trousers

The Rosemary Trousers are that elusive pair of trousers that look smart and feel comfortable at the same time. The waistband is elasticated at the back and flat at the front. There are patch pockets at the back, and roomy slanted pockets at the front, constructed with a waist stay on the inside to keep everything in place.

Emporia Patterns Astrid Dress and Jumper

Astrid is a simple yet stylish pattern that will keep you toasty in the winter and comfortable strolling along the beach in the summer. The pattern includes four different variations: a long-sleeved dress, short-sleeved dress, jumper and T-shirt. Astrid is an ideal introduction to sewing with stretch. Size up for a relaxed and casual look, or take advantage of the stretch for a more fitted garment.

Sew Over It Clementine Pinafore

Fitted with princess seams at the front and back, Clementine is a highly customisable pattern. Both versions are finished with an adjustable buckle detail at the back and an invisible zip on the side, and both can be made as a sleeveless pinafore for layering or as a standalone dress with long sleeves.

Folkwear 149 Norwegian Busserull

The busserull is a classic Norwegian work shirt with a relaxed and comfortable fit. Like traditional European smocks, the busserull is constructed from simple rectangles. This shirt includes underarm gussets for mobility, a buttoned front placket, and an optional half-belt at the back. Originally a men's garment, this pattern fits both men and women.

Folkwear 239 Blonde Bombshell Dress

The mid-1950s celebrated femininity with tight-waisted, full-skirted dresses like this. Make it in colourful cotton for a summer sundress or in shimmering brocade for an evening party any time of the year. The dress is easy to sew, with only five pattern pieces, and the purchase also includes instructions for knitting a bolero sweater (sizes XS-M) that hugs the bodice and fastens with one button in front.

Little Rosy Cheeks 'More of a Cat Person' Labels

A bold black cat with striking orange eyes, topped with playful pink and orange florals, brings instant personality to your handmade pieces. Turn it over for a cheeky paw print on the reverse. Perfect for adding a bit of humour (and truth) to your handmade pieces, whether you're sewing next to your ever-present feline assistant or carefully picking cat hair out of your latest make. Because every project has a little cat in it…whether you planned it or not.

I hope that's left you brimming with inspiration! Enjoy browsing the newest sewing pattern releases.

Hello! Are you able to update your Sewing Bee tab with the 2025 Season 11 episodes? I’ve just been able to watch it here in Canada and your posts are a little tricky to find. Thanks!
