THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 14 JUNE

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

I have some gems to share this week, including a dress that mixes woven and knit fabrics, the coolest barrel-leg pants to hit the pattern world, and a design featuring a super-cute bubble hem. I've got it all.

Sew Liberated Madrone Pants

The Madrone Pants are barrel-leg pants, with curved seams providing dramatic yet soft shaping and very generous ease. The elastic and drawstring waist provides a comfortable, size-fluctuation-friendly fit. Topstitched seams give a utility feel, and the panels allow you to play with contrasting fabrics.

Nina Lee Dolores Drop-Waist Dress

Dolores is a modern take on the drop-waist silhouette, combining the comfort of knits with the versatility of wovens. Choose between a summer-friendly vest top with bound edges, or a classic boat-neck bodice cleanly finished with a facing and featuring three-quarter length sleeves. The close-fitting bodice is sewn in a knit fabric and the gathered A-line skirt, complete with side seam pockets, is sewn in a woven, allowing for mix-and-match creativity or chic coordination.

Itch to Stitch Zubri Trousers

The Zubiri Trousers offer a fresh take on a wardrobe staple, blending tailored elements with a modern silhouette. Designed to sit at the natural waist, they have a fly front closure and wide leg. They feature single front darts and double back darts for shaping. A unique side dart is used in place of a side seam. There are front and back patch pockets, and you can choose between ankle or full length.

Atelier Scämmit Idole Blouse or Dress

This blouse or dress with dropped shoulders can be made in woven or knit fabric and has two neckline options: round or boat. The neckline can be finished with bias binding, a facing, or jersey band (for a round neckline in knit fabric). The sleeve can be finished with a simple cuff or a single or double ruffle. The dress has an elasticated waist.

Atelier Scämmit Cosy Cardigan or Jacket

This casual cardigan or light jacket is designed for everyday wear, in a choice of shorter or longer length. A mere collar change transforms the design from an open-front cardigan into a buttoned jacket with an elegant shawl collar. Optional patch pockets are available in two shapes. This unlined garment has curved or straight hem options, bias-bound finishes, and hem facings. 

Style Arc Sophia Woven Bubble Skirt and Pant

Kate spotted bubble trousers on the high street when she scouted for trends a few months ago, so it's no surprise to see some sewing patterns popping up. Make a fully lined maxi or mini length bubble skirt, or genie pants with elasticated cuffs. Sophia features a flat front waistband with an elastic back waistband and optional in-seam pockets. 

Bobbins and Buttons Lorna Dressing Gown or Jacket

This useful pattern doubles up as a luxury dressing gown, or light jacket layer. Lorna is a wrap front dressing gown or jacket featuring patch pockets, a front facing band, and tie belt. The pattern includes three length options.
