It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

We've had a busy week, which means one thing. There are plenty of new sewing patterns to tell you all about.⁠ There's the bewitching Folklore collection from Sew Different, a PDF pattern drop from Fibre Mood, and a skort pattern you must see.

Fibre Mood Edition 38 PDF Patterns

If you had your eye on any of the sewing patterns in the latest issue of Fibre Mood magazine, but prefer to have the files to print the pattern, you're in luck, as they are available individually. There are 12 patterns and style variations for elegant, trendy and comfortable items for spring.

Les Perlines Playback Skort

The Playback Skort is a slightly A-line mini skirt featuring an elasticated waistband and integrated shorts: perfect for those on-the-go summer days where you want comfort and practicality! I've had a few requests for skorts, and this is the one I think everyone has been waiting for!

Madalynne Bianca Mastectomy Bra

Bianca is a pocketed wireless bra (bralette) that is supportive and comfortable for anyone going through a mastectomy. This racerback design with adjustable shoulder straps has a hassle-free hook-and-eye closure in the front. It also features enclosed seams to prevent irritation, pockets to hold drains (optional), and openings on the bra cups to easily insert modesty pads, prostheses, or lightweight breast forms.

Sew Different Felis Blouse

The Felis Blouse is a feminine top with a placket opening and soft gathering above the bust. It has full sleeves with elasticated cuffs, or the option of a sleeveless version. Embellish with delicate buttons for a front closure if desired.

Sew Different Otus Frock

The Otus Frock is a romantic, midi-length dress that pulls on over the head. Its batwing sleeves gather onto a traditional bib at the front and back. There are two sleeve options: a full length sleeve with a gathered cuff or a shorter, looser sleeve for skipping through the forest. Choose to chop it to the shorter cut-line for a smock look and feel the breeze.

Sew Different Corvus Stole

Throw the Corvus Stole over your shoulders for an extra layer of stylish warmth. It is fully lined and has a detachable collar. Choose between two lengths: shrug and cape.

Sew Different Tyto Pants

The Tyto Pants are softly barrel-shaped with an elasticated paperbag waist. You have the choice of large cargo pockets that cross the side seams, discreet in-seam pockets, or both. They can also be cut to shorts length with the addition of a stylish turn-up.

Sew Different Tie Bolero

The Tie Bolero is a warm over-layer with a side-tying front and a dipped hem at the back. Its quilted construction has three layers: an outer fabric, bump interlining, and lining fabric. The raw edges are finished with a decorative bias binding, and it has bound inner seams. You also have the option of a fully lined, removable hood that attaches with poppers.

Sew Different Paradise Dress

The Paradise Dress is a loose-fitting A-line shift dress. It has elegant French darts and in-seam pockets. The fabulous flared sleeves have two length options: 3/4 and cap sleeve. There are gathers to the back waist, and while there are buttons at the back, the dress can also pull on over the head with the buttons as a purely decorative feature.
