THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES – 7 APRIL
Mel Forrest

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Do you have an overlocker/serger and feel you don’t quite use all the features you have at your fingertips? The Juliana Martejevs Ina Top gives you a chance to play with one of those features! Ina is a trendy top designed for overlocker/serger users to have fun with lettuce hems. You’ll want to add it to everything!

If you have any beach days on the cards this year and are planning to sew your own two-piece suit, this is a fun one. The Cowrie Kini bikini shape resembles two cowrie shells and has two styles to choose from.

The sewing world has been going mad for an iconic pattern reissue that proves the right design can be utterly timeless – and you’ll be pleased to know that we stocked up on this gem!
The dress that brought wrap dresses to every wardrobe in the 1970s is back, and you can sew it yourself. Diane von Furstenberg’s Wrap Dress pattern is perfect for special occasions, everyday wear and generally feeling pretty put-together.
Vogue Patterns’ new collection is brimming with options for special occasions. If you have an invite to a wedding, are planning on sewing something for the races or have a black tie event to attend, you might find something suitable in this little lot!
Simplicity has a new collection of patterns to peruse. It’s quite an eclectic mix, with vintage styles, unisex patterns, childrenswear and more. We are taken with Mimi G’s latest design, the S9893 Cape. With its utility styling and trench-like details, it is a great spring sewing project.
And if that wasn’t enough, we have a big bunch of Burda Style patterns. With new designs across women’s, men’s and children’s, there is something for the whole family!
