THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 5 APRIL

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

It's Easter Sunday, and have I got a cracking Edit for you. Before you tuck into a heap of chocolate, I'll be chatting through a new collection from Atelier Jupe, including a 2-for-1 pattern that gives you bang for your buck and a massive restock from The Assembly Line, featuring four new styles. If that wasn't enough, I have two new bag patterns to share. Told you it was a good week!

The Assembly Line Wide-Leg Jeans

The Wide-Leg Jeans feature a high-rise waist, zip fly, dropped crotch, front and back pockets, including a coin pocket, and wide legs. The back waist can be adjusted in three different ways (regular, curvy, or straight) to ensure a customised fit for diverse body shapes.

The Assembly Line Classic Sweatshirt

A timeless top available in two styles: a crewneck sweatshirt for adults and children, and a hoodie for adults. Both styles feature ribbed cuffs and hem, and the hoodie has a kangaroo pocket. Designed with a relaxed unisex fit, this pattern is perfect for creating matching family outfits.

The Assembly Line Classic Shirt

A refined regular fit shirt with bust darts and back darts for a beautifully shaped silhouette, finished with a softly rounded hem. The pattern includes a distinctive high two-button cuff, as well as two elegant double cuffs: one with rounded corners and one designed to be worn with cufflinks.

The Assembly Line Double-Breasted Jacket

The Double-Breasted Jacket is an unlined jacket with a vest variation. The silhouette is straight with a double-breasted front and simple construction details. The V-shaped neckline is designed to sit high, allowing the jacket to be worn without a layer underneath, like a jacket-blouse.

Noodlehead Divided Basket

This structured basket with a divided liner is perfect for storing all sorts of goodies. Use it for diaper storage or knitting projects. It features a front pocket and two handle variations. The divider is sewn in on both sides as well as the bottom, so there are no gaps for anything to slide through!

Sew Over It Utility Tote

Easy to sew yet thoughtfully detailed, the Utility Tote is an elevated tote bag that goes far beyond a simple tote, without ever feeling complicated. There is no hardware required for the Utility Tote, making this an approachable and stress-free make, while still delivering a bag that feels stylish and sturdy. It's a fantastic beginner-friendly project for sewists who want to build confidence and learn useful bag making skills.

Atelier Jupe Sophie Top and Ellis Shorts

If you are looking for great value from your pattern purchase, then look no further, as this gives you two patterns in one!

Sophie is a sleeveless summer top that ties with a knot at the left shoulder for a playful and lighthearted touch. The knot is a separate pattern piece, so you can also make Sophie as a simple sleeveless top if you prefer. The elegant boat neckline beautifully completes the design.

Sophie pairs perfectly with the Ellis Shorts. These fitted, mid-rise shorts feature a waistband and an invisible zipper in the side seam. Pockets are integrated into the centre front leg seams. At the back, two darts on each side ensure a well-shaped fit.

Atelier Jupe Rosie Blouse

Rosie is sure to steal your heart with its delicate, rounded neckline and charming puffed sleeves. The front is constructed from multiple panels, giving you endless opportunities to customise the design – add contrasting trim, or mix and match different fabric colours for a unique look. The blouse fastens at the back with a button and loop. Prefer a simpler silhouette? Rosie can also be made with a short, straight sleeve instead of the puffed version. Experiment with prints, textures and details to create a Rosie Blouse that perfectly reflects your personal style.

Atelier Jupe Bertie Shirt

Bertie has everything you need for a casual, cool look. Designed with a loose fit, it has a bold box pleat at the back for extra movement and ease. The front features a collar with a stand, classic yoke, playful topstitched pockets, and buttons. Bertie has roomy, elbow-length sleeves and a softly rounded hem. This design truly shines when you let your creativity run free – mix and match different fabrics and thread colours to make Bertie your own!

Atelier Jupe Martha Dress

Martha is a loose-fitting, mid-length dress featuring a V-neckline and short sleeves finished with a wide trim. A seam at the centre front allows for a playful front split, making the dress comfortable and easy to walk in. Wear Martha on its own for an effortless look, or style it with the wide belt, which can be wrapped around the waist twice. The topstitched pockets add extra character. Casual and perfect for summer, Martha is a dress you can wear for any occasion!

I hope you enjoyed that edit of new arrivals. I'll see you next week for another update!
