THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 12 APRIL
It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!
Boy, do I have an aesthetically pleasing update for you today. We have the latest collection from Maison Fauve, one of our favourite French sewing pattern designers, who are known for their intricately detailed patterns that always delight. I've also got a stunning dress to share that uses princess seams for shaping, and a romantic top with sculptural details that is sure to jump to the top of sewing lists everywhere.

NH Patterns Lucia Dress
We saw this dress at the Stitch Festival last month, and we all agreed it's a beauty. Lucia is a midi-length panelled dress with a square neckline and a low back, with the option for a higher back for more coverage. The dress has double princess seams at the front and back (very handy for fit adjustments) and a centre back zipper to fasten.
French Navy Atlas Overshirt
The Atlas is a canvas for your creativity, offering both full and partial button placket variations, as well as curved and straight hem options in two lengths. It has a boxy fit with dropped shoulders, two-piece sleeves, a convertible collar, and patch pocket variations. Suitable for a variety of fabric types and weights, this pattern can be used to create a versatile piece that is perfect for layering or wearing alone, making it a true wardrobe workhorse that translates across all seasons.

Silversaga Patterns Celeste Dress and Top
The Celeste pattern is a romantic and sculpted design with thoughtful details and an adjustable fit. It includes a dress and a top version, both built on a fitted yoke with soft gathers that add volume through the bust. Adjustable waist rows allow you to shape the silhouette to suit your body and mood – wear it loose and relaxed, or cinch it in for a more defined silhouette.
Maison Fauve Worn Jeans
A slightly loose fit, gently lowered waistline, and that '90s style we never tire of: Worn are the jeans you'll feel like you've always had in your wardrobe, the pair you’ll love wearing for years, that will develop character beautifully over time. The cut is straight and comfortable, with a slightly wider hem that falls perfectly over your shoes.

Maison Fauve Doll Blouse
The Doll Blouse embodies bold, confident femininity. It's clean, streamlined bodice and softly scooped neckline set off the statement balloon sleeves, finished with beautifully structured pleats. Gently shaped for a balanced silhouette, it’s quick and easy to sew, bringing a romantic, subtly retro touch to any outfit.
Maison Fauve Linger Dress
The Linger Dress blends femininity with effortless style. The pattern features precise panel construction for a beautifully clean, sculpted silhouette. The pattern comes with four options: irresistible with a deep cut back, more everyday with a higher (bra-friendly) back, unforgettable in a long version, and playful in a short version.

Maison Fauve Misfit Biker Jacket
Iconic and timeless, the biker jacket is a true wardrobe staple. Misfit features all the classic details: the signature collar, shoulder tabs and gussets, and a bold front zip that echoes the zipped welt pockets and gusseted sleeve zips. This project will be well worth the time and effort it takes.
Maison Fauve Almost Shirt
The little summer blouse that goes with everything, is easy to sew, and beautifully finished – this is it! The Almost pattern takes inspiration from classic men's shirts, with its straight cut, soft collar, and cuffed sleeve hems. But the volume, length, and shaping darts transform it into a truly charming blouse that will quickly become a staple in your handmade wardrobe. And if you're after a more pared-back look, you can also sew a collarless version.
I hope that's left you brimming with inspiration! Enjoy browsing the newest sewing pattern releases.
