THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES – 19 NOVEMBER

Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

Fibre Mood edition 26 has touched down with plenty of options to keep you cosy this winter. This edition has some interesting designs that I think would be pretty fun to sew. A cardigan pattern that doubles up as a jacket gets a double thumbs up from me! This issue features 12 patterns with additional style variations to play with.

I am head over heels for this one. It nails the maxi skirt trend of the season AND throws in cool utility-style pockets to top it off. Or does the self-fabric belt do that? The True Bias Blair Skirt is another one to confirm that it IS the season of the SKIRT. I am here for it. The difficult part is choosing which to make first – maxi, midi or mini…

The Modern Sewing Co. Boatneck Top is perfect for making right now. Layer it under knits or wear it on its own. The wide neckline gives an understated elegance to a pared-back design. It would be great in a Breton stripe.

If you’re the kind of person who loves a brisk walk in the colder months, a grab-and-go coat is a must. The Puff and Pencil Luna Coat features a collar (that looks especially good in corduroy to mimic a well-known brand) and snap fastenings down the front. The Box Sleeve leaves plenty of room for a jumper.

The Juliana Martejevs Kelly Coat is made entirely without a sewing machine using only a simple hand embroidery technique. The feature blanket stitch detail is very on-trend.

If you haven’t discovered Quiltfolk yet, you’re in for a treat. Each issue is full of inspiring quilters from different places in the USA. They are truly beautiful magazines. Get ready to be awed by some magnificent makers whose stitched work compares impressively to Colorado’s awe-inspiring landscape! Issue 28 (Colorado) of Quiltfolk magazine is just a joy to read.

The Olympia Sports Top is a close-fitting top designed for swimming, gymnastics, dance, athletics and more! The pattern comes in a Teen Girl’s size range and a Childs’ size range.
