THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES – 16 APRIL
Kate Underdown

Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

We are really excited to have an amazing new magazine arrival. Say hello to Quiltfolk! Branded a magazine it feels more like a book, beautifully shot a and stuffed full of amazing articles and interviews with makers. The team travel to a different part of the US to interview a selection of quilt makers about their craft, we get to hear their life stories and see their sewing spaces. It’s a really inspirational publication and we hope you like it as much as we do.
Right onto the garments! First up we have the super new arrival from Merchant and Mills, the Denham Jacket. Based on a vintage Austrian hiking jacket this feels like the love child of a trench coat and biker jacket. Perfect for spring as this can be made lined or unlined.
If you have exciting summer events this year then this beauty might be the pattern for you. The Sew Love Adele jumpsuit is such a beautiful shape, it’s got a fitted bodice and wide-legged trousers that can also be made in shorts option too. The only question left is, what fabric are you going to make it in?
Next up we have the amazing Santa Rosa top and dress from Liesl & Co. This pattern is SUCH a useful shape and I think everyone should have a blouse like this in their wardrobe. It’s simple design means you’ll be reaching for it over and over again.
The Cannes trousers are perfect for summer, this high-waisted, wide-legged trousers come with a tie at the front. We love the drama of these and think they’d make a great addition to your wardrobe.
I’m going to make this bold statement, this could be the most perfect t-shirt pattern! The Bedrock tee from Sew Liberated is tight but not too tight, loose but not boxy. There are loads of variations including a tank option so what is not to love? This could be a really useful pattern that you’d get loads of use out of.
