Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Edition 23 of Fibre Mood is packed with 12 patterns to sew for summer. You’ll find designs for dresses, tops, trousers, a skirt and waistcoat – all with details that require closer inspection!

The patterns come on pull-out A1 sheets that are folded and stapled into the magazine. They are overlaid and colour coded which makes them easier to trace off.

Selah looks nonchalant and relaxed with its wide legs, high waist and buttons. These sailor-style trousers look extra special with a row of buttons.

Ultra feminine with a playful wrap, Kamala can be dressed down with trainers or up with heels. The elastic in the puff sleeves creates extra volume.

We love a waistcoat. Vivienne is classy, super-feminine and looks wonderful worn with a T-shirt underneath or on its own for maximum 90s vibes.

This lovely top is going to give you Mediterranean holiday vibes for sure. The flounce is attached to the lining, creating a playful balloon effect.

 


If you love vintage style patterns, you will love the How to Do Fashion Hanover Trousers. These ankle-length trousers are inspired by the cool and modern woman of the 1960s – very Mad Men. You can choose from simple pair of slacks or opt for an interesting curved hemline -and why wouldn’t you?!

Easy to sew and wear, the Fieldwork Patterns Carla Shorts is a great pattern to have in your stash. These simple pull-on shorts have side seam pockets and back patch pockets, an elasticated channel waist with a little “pie crust” edge, and a mock fly front. They also make for comfy sleep shorts that will go with any of your favourite bed t-shirts.
