Silversaga was founded by vintage lover, Jessica who has a passion for collecting and mending 1900s to 1940s clothes. This love for vintage can be felt in the romantic sensibility of her patterns.
“I have always felt passionate about by the quality of vintage and how they could be handed down through generations.”
We’ve had a big batch of new patterns from Sew Different that really need a closer look. There are some really lovely dresses with clever details and many of them have retro vibes. I suggest zooming in on the Arya Pleat Dress which is one of the best uses of the pleat technique I have ever seen!
Need a pair of comfy trews in your life? This is the perfect choice for sewing this autumn. The Sew Liberated Chanterelle Pants and Shorts are comfortable and easy-to-fit elastic waist trousers with three leg options so you get a lot of mileage from this pattern. I am particularly taken with the playful cropped leg silhouette shaped with a pleat and cuff at the ankle. Those patch pockets are also oh-so-pretty.
Are you planning to sew a coat this season? This one is an approachable project that suits confident beginners and beyond. The Avid Seamstress Wimborne Coat is fully lined, with dropped shoulders and an easy-to-wear cocoon shape. It features a beautifully shaped collar travelling down the front of the coat, and in-seam pockets to carry all your essentials. If you want to sew your first coat, this might be the one for you!
