It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

This week we are welcoming a new designer, lusting after the latest utility trouser pattern with on-trend carpenter details and cooing over the cutest kids fleece. 

Closet Core Patterns Rika PantsHitting the worker pant trend hard, the Closet Core Rika Pants are bang on trend this season. Carpenter trousers are popping up everywhere, and we think they are hit the trend nail on the head. This versatile design can feel like tailored trousers or utilitarian workwear depending on your choice of details.

Silversaga Francesca Dress - If you live in a warmer climate or have a winter sun break booked, this breezy tiered maxi dress is just the ticket. It features delicate rouleau shoulder straps, a charming bow tie back, and hidden in-seam pockets. You could even sew it up in a lux fabric for a party-ready dress.

Madalynne Scarlet Maxi Dress - If you like the bring drama to an even in a good way, take a look at Scarlet. This fun and whimsical yet elegant maxi dress that has six godets for the ultimate flared hem. It will have you twirling all night long.

We are happy to announce we have a new designer joining the Fold Line family - Coralie Bijasson. Designed in France, the patterns are timeless and elegant. With a wealth of tops, dresses, jackets, trousers and more to sew for your daily wardrobe, there is sure to be something that makes you go "Ooh la la!".

Waves & Wild Children's Quokka Quarter Zip Top - This fleece is adorable, and if you've never seen its. namesake - a quokka - look it up and you'll see how fitting the name is. The colour blocking options make this pattern a great scrap-buster.

Lou Orth Designs Flower Friends Quilt PDF - Cosy season is approaching so if you are a quilter or wannabe quilter, now is the time to indulge your craft. Flower Friends is a fun and modern floral quilt pattern. The blocks are traditionally pieced and fat quarter friendly.
