Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Meet Mabel – a dreamy dress and blouse with beautiful details. Tilly and the Buttons Mabel Dress or Blouse has a shirred waist and cuffs, square-shaped elasticated neckline and voluminous raglan sleeves elasticated around the shoulders. If you’ve been thinking about trying the hottest sewing skill – shirring – you’re in safe hands with this pattern!


It features a sport of shirring on the sleeves and waist, so it’s a very manageable amount for your first shirring project. Plus, Mabel has a free video tutorial by Tilly if you need extra help⁠ .

If you have some teddy or boucle fabric in your stash, the Vikisew Abbie Jacket could be the one for you! We love the vintage vibes with a modern edge. Abbie is a semi-fitted jacket with a straight silhouette. The centre front edge is finished with a decorative placket with windproof placket backing. The sleeves have a slight flare towards the bottom with is a lovely detail.

BROWSE SEW OVER IT PATTERNS

The Sewing Workshop Charlie Bomber Jacket is a cool, semi-fitted bomber jacket with front zipper closure. The ribbing trims look great in a contrasting colour. View A is underlined and quilted with overlapping fringed denim yokes in the front and back and View B is an unlined jacket without yokes, trimmed with a ribbed hip band and cuffs.
