It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know, so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

We've had a big drop of Style Arc patterns, so this week Kate is doing a deep dive into all the new-to-the-shop designs. We've also squeezed in a skirt pattern that gives the barrel trend a feminine edge. Enjoy your sewing pattern update!

Sewing Therapy Barrel Skirt

Barrel-shaped pants have taken the fashion world by storm, and this skirt offers a feminine alternative. What sets this pattern apart is its innovative eight-panel construction. The result is a sophisticated and trendy three-dimensional shape that is subtle rather than excessive.

Style Arc Delphine Woven Jacket

This stylish and versatile jacket is perfect for layering and is ideal for completing your special-occasion ensembles. Featuring a semi-fitted shape, it can be fully lined or left unlined for a lighter feel. Customise your look with optional fray trim detailing on the neckline, hem, pockets, and sleeve cuffs. 

Style Arc Barry Woven Pant

Barry features an elastic waistband with a top ruffle for a comfortable yet polished look. The design includes angled pockets, a slight balloon leg shape, and a front hem dart for added structure. Sitting naturally at the waist, it also incorporates a faux fly for a classic trouser detail. Perfect for creating a versatile and on-trend wardrobe staple!

Style Arc Teddy Designer Top

This relaxed fit top features a collar that can be worn up or down, grown-on short sleeves with folded cuffs, a wide hem facing, and a high-low hemline. Choose between two lengths: short and tunic.

Style Arc Alice Knit Top

A step up from a basic tee, this knit top features a soft V-neckline with elasticated ruching at the centre front and ruched short sleeves. There is also the option for a slim full-length sleeve with cut lines for elbow and 3/4 length.

Style Arc Erin Woven Culotte

Erin features a fitted waistband that sits at the low waist and 3/4 length wide legs with angled front pleats and angled pockets. Back waist darts and an invisible centre back zip ensure a beautifully tailored finish.

Style Arc Avon Woven Shirt and Dress

 An elevated take on the classic shirt or shirt dress, featuring a collar and collar stand, waist tie over the button-up front, short or long sleeves, and a high-low hem. The dress has optional in-seam pockets.

Style Arc Dallas Woven Shirt and Dress

Dallas is a beautifully feminine shirt or dress featuring a front placket with button-and-loop closures and elbow-length puff sleeves. Choose between a high collar or traditional two-piece collar. A waist tie with belt loops adds shape, while the dress option can include godets for extra movement. There are optional bust darts for a full bust, optional back waist darts for a slim fit, and optional in-seam pockets for the dress. 

Style Arc Blaire Shirt and Dress

The shirt and dress share the same bodice with a small shirt collar and cute turn-back cuffs. The shirt has an interesting overlay which falls from the bodice. The dress has shirt tails with a very clever in-seam pocket that becomes a modesty underlay, so when the sides of the shirt tails open, the leg is hidden.
