Buy the Avon Woven Shirt and Dress sewing pattern from Style Arc. An elevated take on the classic shirt or shirt dress, featuring a collar and collar stand, waist tie over the button up front, short or long sleeves, and a high-low hem. The dress has optional in-seam pockets.

Suggested fabrics: Any light to medium weight woven linen or cotton fabric with good structure such as poplin, seersucker, chambray, broadcloth.

Fabric requirements:

Shirt: 125 cm (49") wide fabric: 2.6 - 3.6 m (2.9 - 3.9 yd) // 148 cm (58") wide fabric: 2.3 - 2.9 m (2.5 - 3.2 yd).

Dress: 125 cm (49") wide fabric: 2.9 - 3.9 m (3.2 - 4.25 yd) // 148 cm (58") wide fabric: 2.7 - 3 m (3 - 3.3 yd).

Sizing: 4 – 16 or 18 – 30 (approx. UK 4/6 – 16/18 or UK 18/20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 90 cm (36") wide fusing, 0.8 m (0.9 yd) for shirt or 1.1 m (1.2 yd) for dress; 11.5 mm (18L) buttons (or snaps), 7 for shirt or 10 for dress; 2 extra buttons (or snaps) if making the long sleeve cuff.
