THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES – 17 MARCH
Mel Forrest

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you’re thinking about tackling trousers this season, Thea is a great pattern to choose. Tilly and the Buttons’ easy-to-follow instructions make it a great introduction to sewing trousers and there are videos for the trickiest bits. Phew!

Are you a yoga bunny? Or perhaps you are thinking of sewing someone a yoga-themed gift? The Aura Yoga Mat Bag pattern is perfect for sewing something so individual you will never face mat mix-up again!

Spring is on the way so dresses. Blossom is a fitted wrap a lined bodice, hidden pockets and fastens with ties at the back. It’s a great little party dress

The baguette bag is back in a big way and this new arrival is great for sewing your own! Ava is an on-trend patchwork bag that’s perfect for using up your fabric scraps!

With six interior slip pockets and a slimline profile, the Luna Crossbody is a great travel buddy. If you’re off on any trips this year, it’s a lovely bag to carry your essentials in.

A set of two travel pouches, one large and one small, ideal for holding toiletries and makeup. Gussets at the base create a flat bottom that allows the pouches to sit upright (plus, it makes a lot more room for your stuff!). The Lily Pouches Set doesn’t need pattern pieces, you simply draw the given measurements directly onto the fabric!

The blend of smart and casual makes the Edie Coat a useful piece to have in your wardrobe. The horizontal seam shows off the in-seam pockets and follows through to the pretty lantern sleeves.

The Joni Top and Dress combines comfort with quirky seam lines, making this an intriguing project. The bust darts have been transformed into vertical seams that act as anchors for gathered side panels.

These long or cropped jersey pants are perfect for everyday wear, lounging or sports. The pants are fitted around the hips and have straight legs. The waistband is wide and comfortable and can be single-layer or folded over. The cropped version has hem bands just below the knees.
