It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Sew House Seven Oxbow Pants: The Oxbow Pants are a cool departure from a traditional pair of jeans with the attention to detail you can expect from Sew House Seven. They were designed for rigid, non-stretch 10-13 oz. denim, but you can also sew them up in twill, corduroy or canvas for a completely different look

Tilly and the Buttons Nell Dress + Blouse: Simple to sew, the mix ‘n’ match Nell pattern includes four blouse and dress options and four sleeve styles to choose from – that will keep you quiet! I suspect the on-trend tie opening (faux bow ties with hidden snaps) will be particularly popular!

Matchy Matchy Wave Float Top: A floaty top is a very useful thing to have to hand in the summer months, and the Wave Float Top is as breezy as it gets! It is a wonderful choice for beginners to practice basic sewing techniques. Experienced sewers will love how speedy it is and simple it is to incorporate fabric scraps.


Maison Fauve’s latest collection – Les Nuits Fauve has some lovely pieces for summer. The Palma Top is quick to sew without being too simple making it a great addition to your holiday wardrobe. The Cuba Libre Dress features a panelled skirt providing a perfect fit without too much volume, and the elasticated back means you don’t need to sew a side zip!
