We were thrilled to hear that Papercut Patterns are back in print so we immediately added the new designs we were missing from our catalogue. The first up is perfect for sewing this season – the Emmi Jacket. This is the jacket pattern to end all jacket patterns! With so many ways to make it, you will struggle to make just one. You choose details from hem length, make it fully reversible, or lined, with either plain or elasticated sleeve cuffs and you have three types of pockets to choose from.
The pattern also comes with a collar pack consisting of four interchangeable collar options: bomber, classic, funnel neck and hood. You could even make them all and swap them around depending on your outfit! Now, that is cool!
Next, we have a rather summery trio – ideal for anybody in the Southern Hemisphere or those planning a winter sun escape.
The Kaia Swimsuit gives you options for a one-piece or a bikini with either a short or longline top. My favourite element is the beautiful twist neck detail and the centre seam allows plenty of room for playing with colour blocking and pattern clashes.
The Aalto Dress and Top is a versatile piece that can be made as a top or maxi dress with a square neckline or beautiful twist neck detail. You can really customise your make with the pick-and-mix options that are on offer!
The Marnie Swimsuit is perfect for those who love sleek, sophisticated silhouettes. This classic will never go out of style. Make it as a classic one-piece or as a bikini with a short or longline top and square neckline.
I am particularly partial to a knit top and this one looks like a great basic with a twist. The unusual square neckline on the Islares Top will be easy to sew thanks to the raglan sleeves and the cut opens up the neck without being too low. Regular and full-bust options will help you achieve the perfect fit.
Sew Over It has been knocking it out of the park lately and the latest offering is another goodie. The Norah Dress features grown-on sleeves and you can add oversized patch pockets that are pretty pleasing. With no darts, shaping is provided by gathers under the bust. It’s quite a summery number but is so classic that it is a fab pattern to have in your collection.
