THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES – 10 SEPTEMBER
Kate Underdown

Happy Sunday Fold Liners! It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

If you like a little company while you sew and want to keep up with the hot releases.  You might want to hit subscribe and never miss a thing.

Get your autumn sewing projects lined up with the latest edition of Fibre Mood magazine! This issue features 12 autumn-friendly patterns with additional style variations to play with.

The patterns come on pull-out A1 sheets that are folded and stapled into the magazine. They are overlaid and colour-coded which makes them easier to trace off.
Sizes: Women’s UK 6-28/30
Refresh your wardrobe with a rather lovely selection of tops. Soraya is a clever twist on a simple sweater and the sleeves on the Lulu Blouse require a round of applause!
Two of the dresses in this issue are ideal for autumn-winter layering and the Zahia Dress is a knockout that you won’t want to cover up!
You’ll find some achingly cool jackets, trendy trousers and a skirt in this issue. The patch pockets on Dunya made me gasp with joy!

September signals fresh starts and in our world, new designers! So here’s a newbie that we are pretty excited about. Founded by Ann Sofie as a result of the pandemic, Puff and Pencil bring us sleek, modern designs free of jargon that are approachable to all sewing levels.

“Puff and Pencil was born with the vision to bring sewing into the modern world.”

With no difficult techniques like zips, linings and darts, the patterns are ideal for new sewists and those of us who like to keep projects stress-free.

Sizing: XXS – XXL (approx. UK 6 – 22/24)

We’ve had a top-up of new things from McCall’s, including a delightful range of dresses, a cute collection of children’s patterns and a lovely lounge set that will make staying at home a little more glamourous!

We’ve had a fresh drop of Know Me patterns – so it would be rude not to share them! Created by super sewer Mimi G, Know Me releases designs dreamt up by talented makers from the sewing community, who work with the brand to see them realised! How cool is that?
