THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 10 AUGUST

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Happy Sunday, team! Summer holidays are in full swing, but fear not, the Edit isn't taking a break, so you can get your new sewing pattern intel as usual. Now and again a pattern takes your breath away, and we have a dress design to share that does just that. We also had a box of new patterns from Atelier Scämmit, so Kate will be sharing her favourites.

Madswick Delft Dress

Introducing our latest pattern crush, the Delft Dress! This fun and unique dress has a bias-bound rounded square neckline, short puff sleeves, a curved waistline, scalloped gathered skirt panels, and a wide hem. It has generous ease, perfect for twirling. The skirt length falls below the knee but can be easily adjusted to suit your preference.

Quiltfolk Issue 35 (Virginia)

The Quiltfolk team travel the USA, finding quilting inspiration around every corner. Virginia is a place for those who love craft, tradition, and the art of making something by hand. Quilting has deep roots in Virginia, and in every corner of the state you'll find quilters carrying on time-honoured practices while stitching new chapters of their own. It's a beautiful magazine and a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Atelier Scämmit Frisson Dress

An open-back dress that oozes elegance and femininity. Frisson tightens with ties at the sides. The placement of the gathered opening in the small of the back means Frisson is bra-friendly. The top is fully lined, and the skirt can also be lined. The pattern has three length options.

Atelier Scämmit Punto Blazer

This fully lined blazer has a well-balanced design – neither too feminine nor too masculine. The double-breasted closure adds style and warmth. Punto features a chic lapel collar, bust darts, curved tailored sleeves, patch pockets, and an optional back vent.

Atelier Scämmit Legende Pants or Shorts

Wide-legged pants or shorts with an elasticated waistband for maximum comfort. This pattern has been designed without side seams. Legende can be worn with or without the removable belt for a style ranging from casual to sophisticated. There are optional patch pockets on the front and back.

Atelier Scämmit Viva Jacket

An oversized jacket with or without sleeves that is both comfortable and stylish. Its irresistibly round shape will make you want to snuggle into it! Viva is unlined and finished with bound facings. It features a round neckline, dropped shoulder, and optional high or low welt pockets.

Atelier Scämmit Sherpa Vest

Super cosy and comfortable, this vest features bound edges and a button closure. The slightly round shape is achieved with back darts. You can choose between a round or V-neckline and welt or patch pockets. Sherpa is lined with an easy flat lining method, but it can also be made without a lining.

That's all for this week, we will see you in seven days time for more sewing pattern chat!
