THE EDIT: NEW SEWING PATTERN RELEASES - 1 DECEMBER

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

I've got a cracking update for you. Flick through the latest Fibre Mood magazine with me, drool over Friday Pattern Co's latest design and swoon over a cardigan coat with the chicest tie detail. It's an unmissable sewing pattern update!

Fibre Mood Magazine Edition 31 Christmas has come early as a new edition of Fibre Mood is ready to wrap up and gift to yourself! There are some great options for items to wear over the festive period, so I think that warrants a pre-Christmas treat, don't you?
This issue has 12 patterns and many style variations for elegant, trendy and comfortable items for winter! The magazine includes patterns for; dresses, tops, trousers, a skirt, jumper, vest, jacket and coat.

The patterns come on pull-out A1 sheets that are folded and stapled into the magazine. They are overlaid and colour-coded which makes them easier to trace off.

Merchant & Mills Willamina Collar - Looking to update your winter coat rather than buying a new one? This cute collar is a speedy project that will give your coat a whole new look. It's also a great option for handmade gifting!

The Maker's Atelier Tie Front Cardigan Coat - Scarf coats have been trending on the high street and this chic design is better than any I've seen!  Inspired by the current trend for scarf coats and jackets, this coatigan is especially designed for washed or boiled wools. The pattern includes a choice of patch or in-seam pockets and is suitable for confident beginners and beyond!

Friday Pattern Co Dew Top and Dress - This updated version of a previous FPC is even better than its original. The Dew is a simple cowl neck style with big impact! The dress has roomy pockets and a shaped hem. The pockets are sewn flat to the front for maximum carrying capacity without added bulk. The top features an A-line silhouette and subtle high-low hem. Both styles are super comfortable to wear and sew up quickly. It is a useful piece for the festive season.

New Look winter collection - A new collection of New Look patterns has dropped and there are plenty of options for sewing right now. From party dresses to jackets to festive outfits, there is plenty to browse!

That's it for another week. We will see you back here - same time, same place - next week!
