The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases – 19th May

It’s time for your weekly dose of The Edit: New Sewing Pattern Releases. This blog and vlog highlight some of the new arrivals to hit the shop this week. Kate natters about all the details you need to know so if you’re a pattern nerd like we are, this is for you!

Do you finish your projects by sewing in a label? It’s one of my favourite parts of the sewing process – almost like a full stop. We thought it was about time we extended our offering and brought you Little Rosy Cheeks!

Founded in Scotland during the 2020, Victoria spent time repeating affirmations with her children for their return to school, wishing that she could put something into their pockets to give them comfort and confidence. And Little Rosy Cheeks was born!

The labels reflect Victoria’s love for colour, print and positivity and they are a lovely way to finish your garments off. Made in the UK and packed in Scotland, the labels are high quality and comfortable to wear.

Little Rosy Cheeks also has a collection of easy-to-sew children’s patterns.

The Roots collection serves as a prelude to a new era of Named and a return to the cycle of seasonal collections. Roots features simple and timeless sewing patterns with special attention to detail. It’s also a mini capsule!

Verso is a classic and timeless trouser pattern that includes two variations: straight-leg cropped trousers, and shorts with small side slits.

Taimi is a fashionably simple garment that includes a top and a dress variation. Both variations feature a voluminous gathered hem, and a round neckline and armholes that are finished with binding.

Silmu is a stylish pattern duo that includes a loose-fitting shirt and a midi-length shirt dress. Both variations feature a distinctive overlapping collar.

Merchant & Mills are great at designing patterns that work together and this duo is no exception. The Pegs Trousers are a perfect blend of smart and comfort – ideal for everyday wear. The Celeste Blouse has a button-back and features gentle gathering into a waistband.

This terrific trio is perfect for anyone wanting to build their sewing skills. The Leo Shirt and Anna Skirt make a lovely smart casual combo and have a truly timeless appeal. See Kate chatting through the Kaia Coat on Instagram.
