Why aren’t all the sewing patterns in the database available to buy?

> Not all patterns are available to buy for a number of reasons: they are out of print or we don’t yet stock the patterns from that designer. We are adding new patterns available to buy each week and hope to eventually sell every pattern in the database!  

How do I search for or buy sewing patterns?

Where can I chat, ask for advice and make sewing friends?

> Our Facebook group is full of sewing chatter. Get advice and share news and your makes. Just request to join here and we will add you.

How do I create a wishlist and pattern library?

> Watch our video to create multiple wish lists and pattern libraries to record all your sewing plans!

Why do I need to register for an account to leave a pattern review?

> We have set it up this way so that we can can manage all accounts on the site and stop spamming and trolling. Watch this video on how to register.

What makes a good review?

> Reviews are really helpful for our community of sewing enthusiasts. Here are a few ideas of what you could include.

To rate the pattern by the star system, one star is the lowest rating and 5 stars is the highest rating.

Firstly the practical things … What fabric did you use? Were the instructions easy to follow? Was the pattern simple to use? Did you make any fitting alterations?

It would also be good to know … Did your finished project look how you expected it to? What did you like and dislike? What difficulty level would you rate the pattern? Would you recommend it to a friend? And if you don’t mind sharing, your size and how you would describe your body shape (but we understand if you do!)

I have found a mistake in one of the pattern listings, what should I do?

> Please let us know so we can correct it by emailing hello@thefoldline.com … we are only human and the odd error may have found it’s way in!

USING THE SITE

How do I edit my account?

> First log in here and then edit your details in your Account area. You can also watch our video here for help with this. 

Can I change my username?

> Unfortunately it is not possible to do this. You can delete your account and create a new one though so you can use the same email address. If you are having any problems with this please email hello@thefoldline.com and we can help.

A member is being abusive/inappropriate, what can I do?

> Please let us know by emailing hello@thefoldline.com with the user’s name and any other details – we will investigate asap and sort it out.

What can or can’t I say in the Facebook group?

> Please read our Acceptable Use Policy for full details and also the post pinned to the top of the Facebook group.

I need sewing advice, where can I ask?

> Unfortunately we are not able to answer your sewing queries, but we do have an active and friendly Facebook group, so please ask a fellow sewing enthusiast for help.

How do I delete my account?

> We are sad to see you go! All you need to do is send us an email (hello@thefoldline.com) and we will delete it for you.
