We’d like to welcome Sew Love Patterns to the Fold Line family! We think you are going to adore this addition as we are always getting requests for occasionwear patterns and we think this designer ticks that box!

Sew Love Patterns was founded by London-based Johanna, a pattern cutter who has worked with emerging designers and small brands, as well as on bespoke garments and bridal wear. Johanna loves jumpsuits and wedding dresses which shine through in her feminine and classic designs!

Pattern sizing: UK 6 – 20

The Sew Love Patterns Springe Dress caught my attention immediately! It’s a pretty, romantic dress that is ideal for special occasions (wedding guest attire is sorted!) and is equally as lovely made up as a flowy summer dress. I reckon it’s a design you’d get plenty of use out of.

The Springe Dress has a fitted v-neck bodice with gathering at the bust and a curved waistband. It comes with two sleeve options and two skirt options and instructions for a cute contrast fabric hack.

If you are partial to a jumpsuit, you are going to love this one. Named Springe’after the Danish word for jump, because who doesn’t want to jump in a jumpsuit?! Springe features gathering at the bust, a curved waistband for a great fit and a choice of three leg styles.

There is also an add-on pattern that includes two longer-length sleeve styles for the Springe Jumpsuit.

The Joelle Dress features a detail that Sewing Bee judge Esme would swoon over – a big, beautiful bow! You can sew it as a mini or maxi dress and can choose to add the bow or leave it off. Wear it in bright colours in the sun, as a fun party dress, or even at your wedding!

We have been busy bees adding a bunch of new Style Arc sewing patterns to the shop and there are so many good ones, we found it impossible to pick a favourite!

Style Arc design patterns with an everyday feel to them. They are often packed with interesting details and have a nod to the trends, without being something that will be out of season in a flash. This new batch of patterns has some wonderful dresses, skirts and separates, We are particularly taken with the knit fabric designs. Style Arc patterns are suited to a more confident maker as the written instructions are not illustrated at each step.

The Style Arc Trinnie Woven Dress pattern is a simple yet stylish dress that requires a closer look. If you delve into the technical drawings you’ll see that this dress is full of lovely details – bodice with gathers, waistband, 11-panel gored skirt, hem band, and back invisible zip. The sleeveless even has shoulder pads! These extra details will translate into a dress you will love for many years to come!

This one piqued my interest immediately. Statement (yet wearable collar) – check. Ruffle trim – check. Delicately voluminous sleeves – check! The Style Arc Kennie Woven Shirt sewing pattern would be a fabulous addition to any collection. I could see this one made up in plains, florals, check, stripes… my list (and sewing wish list) could go on!

I kept seeing this dress pop up on Instagram and it always made me think “what is that pattern and where is it from?!”. Luckily, we tracked it down and are now stocking it. The aptly named Style Arc Belle Woven Dress is one that lives up to that title. This v-neck, the button-through dress features shirred statement sleeves with an elastic opening, as well as back waist shirring. It has a gathered bodice, skirt and sleeve heads, and double front waist yoke. The shirring panels will make it super comfortable to wear too so you can be the belle of the ball (or supermarket if you are running errands!)

I could have overlooked this pattern if it weren’t for Kate… “have you seen the seam lines” she said – and on closer inspection, this is not just any sweatshirt sewing pattern! The Style Arc Simpson Sweatshirt is an oversized, square-shaped top has a high-low hemline with drawstring detail. Other features include a crew neck, dropped shoulder line, deep armhole, patch pocket, and twin needle topstitching. I utterly adore the details. It makes this not-so-simple sweatshirt feel like it belongs in a boutique!

Style Arc patterns sizing: UK 4/6 – 16/18 or UK 18/20 – 32
