Buy the Joelle Dress sewing pattern from Sew Love Patterns. The Joelle Dress is a gorgeous make that can be worn as either a mini dress or maxi dress. The maxi dress has a frilled hem, and both versions have a little peekaboo under the bust as well as optional side seam pockets. There is a very cute bow that is threaded through a tie at the front and sewn on with a couple of hand stitches so it is easy to take on or off. The dress is designed to be worn with a bra, although not every bra works. Wear it in bright colours in the sun, as a fun party dress, or even at your wedding!

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton, linen, viscose, tencel, chambray, lighter weight denim, crepe and rayon.

Fabric requirements: The fabric amount given is for directional prints.

150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Maxi Dress, 2.3 – 2.5 m (2.5 – 2.8 yd) // Mini Dress, 1.8 – 2 m (1.9 – 2.1 yd).

115 cm (45″) wide fabric: Maxi Dress, 3.7 – 3.9 m (4 – 4.3 yd) // Mini Dress, 2.3 – 2.5 m (2.5 – 2.8 yd).

Sizing: A – H (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sew Love Patterns sewing patterns are drafted for a sewing B cup and for a height of about 165 cm (5’5″).

Notions: Coordinating thread; 40-50 cm zip (regular or invisible, instructions are given for a regular zip); iron-on interfacing, approx 0.1 m; 1.5 m bias binding, approx 1.6 cm wide, in a colour to match your fabric (the bias binding does not show on the outside of the garment and there is a pattern piece to indicate the length you need to cut).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (37 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets). This pattern has layers so you can print just the size(s) you need.
