Buy the Florence Dress sewing pattern from Sew Me Something. The Florence Dress is a relaxed fit, easy to wear, midi length dress. The ultimate transitional garment for your wardrobe.

Version 1: Bound placket with flat collar, three quarter length darted sleeves, and gathered skirt with cut away pockets.

Version 2: Round neck with bias binding finish and keyhole back neck opening, long gathered sleeves, and gathered skirt with cut away pockets.

Suggested fabrics: 

Version 1: Use a more mid-weight fabric for this style so the darts in the sleeve hold better. This type of fabric will also lend itself to the placket construction. Linen, cotton, chambray, printed craft cotton, denim (mid-weight), needlecord.

Version 2: Light to mid-weight fabric. Viscose, viscose linen, rayon, cotton lawn, double gauze, linen, printed cotton.

Sizes 6 – 20

Version 1: 140 cm wide fabric: 2.7 - 3 m // 114 cm wide fabric: 3.1 - 3.4 m.

Version 2: 140 cm wide fabric: 2.8 - 3.3 m // 114 cm wide fabric: 3.75 - 3.95 m.

Sizes 20 – 34

Version 1: 140 cm wide fabric: 3.5 m // 114 cm wide fabric: not possible.

Version 2: 140 cm wide fabric: 3.75 - 3.85 m // 114 cm wide fabric: not possible.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 or UK 20 – 34 (approx. UK 6 – 18 or UK 22 – 36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

Notions:

Version 1: 4 buttons for sizes 6-20, or 5 buttons for sizes 20-34; interfacing.

Version 2: 1 button; ready-made bias binding (if not making your own); 1/4" elastic.
